Stephen Bohannon, Pastor

Pastor Stephen began his ministry at Christ the King in April of 2004. He remembers

his beginnings vividly because his son Aaron was born just one week prior to his

family’s move to Richmond. Pastor Stephen is married to Kathy; they have two children,

Rachel and Aaron. Pastor Stephen has served congregations in Philadelphia, PA and

Fredericksburg, VA and is in his eleventh year of Ordained Ministry. He grew up in

Woodbridge,Virginia and is a graduate of The University of Virginia. He attended

Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota and The Lutheran Theological Seminary at

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for his Masters of Divinity. Pastor Stephen enjoys time

with his family, the ocean, steak and occasional off-road excursions.

     



Randy Lohr, Pastor

Pastor Randy began his ministry at Christ The King in March of 2009.  Before his call to CTK Randy served the ELCA as pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Waynesboro, VA for 18 years. He grew up in Virginia Beach. He is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.  Between college and seminary he traveled with Lutheran Youth Encounter as part of their East Coast Regional Musical Ministry Team - Common Bread. Pastor Randy and his wife Nancy have two children Graham and Natalie.  In Randy’s spare time he enjoys music, sports, especially surfing and the endless search for the perfect wave and the perfect IPA. 






Amy Richardson, Parish Secretary

Amy and her husband Tom are longtime members of Christ The King.  Amy joined the staff in January 2010 after a career in cardiovascular research at the Medical College of Virginia in the Medicine and Anatomy Departments.  Amy has served on the Congregation Council of CTK twice as chair of the Outreach Committee and then the Inreach Committee.  Amy brings a long history of involvement with the ministries of our congregation.  She also sings in the Cornerstone Band.  She is an avid bowler and outdoors woman; she spent many years going camping on weekends, skiing and swimming at Buggs Island.  She and Tom have two sons and four grandchildren, two dogs and two cats and reside in Powhatan, VA.

Jeff Patelski, Cornerstone Band Leader

Jeff has led the band at CTK for almost four years. Under Jeff’s leadership the band has developed a diverse repertoire of music to support our 11:00 a.m. worship service. Jeff would call himself a bass guitar player, but he leads our band on lead guitar and occasionally you will hear him on the drums. Jeff is crazy about trains. He used to be a conductor. When Jeff is not leading the band at CTK he’s a Logistics Engineer, making sure trains get to where they are going.

Don Carolina, Organist / Choir Director.

Don has been in Richmond for a long time, but his schooling and work found him playing the organ and conducting mostly in New York and New Jersey.  Don is a graduate of Westminister Choir College and has brought his great talent back to Richmond to support our Traditional Worship service on the organ and as the director of our vocal and bell choirs.  Don is an avid tennis player.  He’s a demon on the court but a saint on the organ.  Come and worship with us and hear him play!
